- Rice pancakes (rice wrappers)
- Shrimp: clean, steamed with salt then cooled down, peeled and cut into halves
- Meat: clean and boiled
- Rice vermicelli: boiled until al dente and drain
- Greens (lettuce, beansprouts, dill): clean and placed separately
- Cucumber: clean, 2-top resin removed, cut into halves
